Chapter 2:: Where is Salem's Square?

Salem's Square is wherever it chooses to be. In a city of hundreds of thousands of door, there can never be any way of knowing which of them will open onto another world.

City dwellers have reported bleed through from time-to-time. Alien landscapes will appear in a vague sort of mist in the middle of the street, or the shadow cast by a building in the noontime sun will not be its own. These instances of overlap last anywhere from mere seconds to whole stretches of days before the city shifts itself again. These events have been dubbed locally as "veils."

Only the Elders ever know where Salem's Square is precisely at any given moments, but getting them to tell is all but impossible.
